One Sky, Two Views Student Art Contest

As part of the One Sky, Two Views program, we are seeking student depictions of Native American sky stories.

Semifinalists will be featured in a poster session at the One Sky, Two Views cultural convention in the winter of 2007.

Winners will receive $100, and their entries will apear in the educational book to be published at the end of the program.


Contest Guidelines

All entries must in some way depict a traditional Native American sky story. (Example Story)

Your artwork can be done in colored pencil, crayon, or watercolors.

Please use 8.5" by 11" paper.

On a separate sheet of paper, please write

  • your name, age, and grade
  • the title of your work
  • what native story you used and the tribe it originated in
  • the name, address, and phone number of your teacher and a parent or guardian
  • the name of your school
